Come And Visit Our School
"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me, and I learn." — Benjamin Franklin
Provision with Purpose Workshops
Over the past couple of years, the demand for visits has grown significantly, which is fantastic. We are always keen to say yes to visitors who are eager to join us on a journey of applying an early years‑principled approach beyond the Early Years Foundation Stage. Due to this increasing interest, we are now introducing a more structured programme of visits, welcoming guests in groups and developing these opportunities into more meaningful workshop experiences.
These sessions are no longer simply a ‘sneaky peek’ into our classrooms. Instead, they offer a deeper insight into our journey as a school; sharing our successes, being honest about the challenges we have faced, and exploring how we have evolved our provision over time.
Throughout the workshops, visitors will see how our approach develops from strong foundations in the Early Years, where a largely technology‑light environment supports language, play and interaction, into a carefully considered provision across the rest of the school. We also share how digital tools can complement learning where appropriate, always with a focus on enhancing, rather than replacing, high‑quality teaching and provision.
Workshops take place once each half term and provide opportunities to observe practice, explore purposeful learning environments, engage in professional dialogue with staff, and reflect on how these approaches could be adapted to different school contexts. These sessions are designed to be practical, collaborative and rooted in shared professional learning.
