At Olney Infant Academy, personal development sits at the very heart of everything we do. Alongside this, we are incredibly proud of our extensive range of extra-curricular clubs, which provide children with exciting opportunities to explore new passions, develop confidence and build friendships. Whether learning a new skill, solving problems, expressing creativity, taking on leadership roles or simply having fun, our clubs are designed to enrich every child's school experience. We believe these opportunities help our children become well-rounded individuals who are equipped not only for their next stage of education, but for life beyond the classroom.

Curious & Calm Club
A welcoming space where children can slow down, relax and develop mindfulness skills. Through yoga, colouring, breathing exercises and other calm, quiet activities, children will learn strategies to support their wellbeing while building confidence, focus and resilience.
OIA University
A club designed to inspire children to dream big and explore the exciting possibilities that lie ahead. Through guest visitors, hands-on activities and discussions about different jobs and professions, children will embark on a journey of exploration, inspiration and future aspirations.
Young Engineers Discovery Club (Yr 1 and 2 only)
Perfect for curious minds who love to design, build and investigate. Children will take part in exciting engineering and STEM challenges that encourage creativity, teamwork, problem-solving and a love of discovery.
The Big Questions Club
A thought-provoking club where children are encouraged to think deeply, share ideas and listen to the views of others. Through discussions, debates and problem-solving activities, children will develop confidence in expressing their opinions while exploring some of life's big questions.
Creative Constructors Club
A hands-on club for children who love building and creating. Using LEGO®, construction materials and design challenges, children will develop their imagination, resilience and teamwork skills while bringing their ideas to life.
Harmonise Choir
A fun and uplifting club where children can develop their love of singing and performing. Through learning a variety of songs, children will build confidence, creativity and teamwork while experiencing the joy of making music together.
Puzzle Masters ClubÂ
A fun and engaging club where children can challenge their minds through puzzles, board games, logic activities and team challenges. Children will develop problem-solving skills, perseverance, strategic thinking and teamwork while enjoying a variety of exciting games and brain teasers.
Eco Warriors Club
Our Eco Warriors Club empowers children to become champions for the environment. Through hands-on projects, wildlife activities, gardening and learning about how to live sustainably, our Eco Warriors will develop a sense of responsibility and discover how even small actions can make a big difference to the world around them.
OIA Future Innovators (Key Stage 1 only- invite)
As an Apple Distinguished School, we believe technology can empower children to create, collaborate and innovate. The OIA Future Innovators Club gives Key Stage 1 pupils the opportunity to develop their digital skills through engaging iPad projects, including coding, film-making, photography, design and digital storytelling. Children will explore how technology can enhance learning, demonstrate leadership and help us continue to innovate as part of the worldwide Apple community.
Externally Led Clubs
Tennis Stars Club
Led by a qualified tennis coach from Olney Tennis Club, Tennis Stars Club provides children with a fun and engaging introduction to tennis. Through exciting games, skill-building activities and match play, children will develop their coordination, agility, confidence and teamwork while learning the fundamentals of the sport in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Freestyle Football Club
Delivered by the experienced coaches from Freestyle, this exciting football club provides children with the opportunity to develop their skills, confidence and love of the game in a fun and supportive environment. Through engaging training sessions, small-sided games and team challenges, children will improve their agility, coordination, teamwork and sportsmanship while enjoying being active and making new friends.
Little Lotus Art Club
A creative and calming club where children can explore their imagination through a range of exciting arts and crafts activities. Through drawing, painting, collage, sculpture and mindful creative projects, children will develop their artistic skills, self-expression and confidence in a supportive and inspiring environment. Little Lotus Art Club encourages creativity, patience and pride in achievement, while providing a wonderful opportunity for children to relax, create and have fun with friends.
OIA Gymnastics Club
Led by a qualified gymnastics coach, OIA Gymnastics Club provides children with the opportunity to develop strength, balance, flexibility and coordination through engaging and enjoyable gymnastics activities. Through floor work, movement challenges, stretching and skill development, children will build confidence, resilience and body awareness in a safe and supportive environment. Whether taking their very first gymnastics steps or developing existing skills, children will have the chance to shine, celebrate their achievements and discover the joy of movement while making new friends and having lots of fun.
Led by our amazing Mrs Wright, who brings over 35 years of dancing experience, Bumble Beatz Dance Club is a fun, energetic and inspiring dance club where children can develop confidence, creativity and a love of movement. Through personalised modern dance sessions, children will explore a variety of dance styles, learn exciting routines and express themselves through music and movement in a supportive and encouraging environment. With a focus on enjoyment, self-belief and performance, this vibrant club helps children build coordination, fitness and teamwork while having lots of fun and making wonderful memories.
Delivered by the team at Kids Outdoors, this exciting after-school club gives children the opportunity to explore, discover and connect with the natural world through fun outdoor experiences. Inspired by a Forest School ethos, children enjoy child-led play, seasonal activities, team-building challenges and nature-based adventures that encourage curiosity, creativity and a sense of wonder. In a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment, children will build confidence, resilience and social skills while developing a deeper appreciation of the world around them and creating lasting memories with friends.
