Safeguarding at Olney Infant Academy
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. At Olney Infant Academy, we have both a moral and statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of all our pupils. We are fully committed to creating a strong culture of vigilance, where the safety and wellbeing of every child is at the heart of everything we do.
As part of our continued commitment to safeguarding and supporting our families, we actively promote and provide Early Help. This ensures a consistent, robust and proactive approach, enabling us to respond swiftly and effectively to the needs of our children and families.
Children are taught how to keep themselves safe in ways that are appropriate to their age and understanding. This learning is embedded throughout our curriculum, particularly within PSHE and Computing. We follow the IFtL Safeguarding Curriculum, which is fully integrated across the school to ensure a consistent and comprehensive approach to safeguarding education.
Strengthening Safeguarding Across Our OLLA Schools
Our Safeguarding Leads work collaboratively across the Olney, Lavendon Learning Alliance (OLLA), providing expert guidance, delivering high-quality staff training, and supporting early intervention strategies. Through this partnership, we strengthen our collective capacity to promote the safety and well-being of every pupil in our community.
