Headteacher Welcome

On behalf of the children, staff, and governors, I take great pleasure in welcoming you to Olney Infant Academy. It is an absolute privilege to be the Headteacher of such a wonderful school community.

Our school promotes a warm and caring community where children are challenged to achieve endless possibilities. Our commitment to creating a culture of excellence is contagious and is embedded across our school. We pride ourselves in providing an exciting and creative curriculum rooted in outstanding Early Years principles. We capture our children’s interests and talents to help them grow into independent, confident, and successful learnersOur dedicated staff work together to ignite an enthusiasm and lifelong passion for learning in every child by giving them the best education. The sea of happy children’s faces and the continuing first-class results achieved are testimony to that.

We firmly believe that the key to promoting successful learning for every child lies in the strong partnership we form with parents and this is important to us.

We have excellent facilities which only a school of this size can provide, including a multi-purpose room with cooking facilities, a huge, covered outdoor classroom for our Foundation children, and an incredible outdoor learning environment for all, including a wildlife area and pond and extensive fields and playgrounds. The children also grow lots of fruit and vegetables which are used in our school kitchen as part of our hot and healthy school meals.

We are open from 7.45am every day, with our Breakfast Club, and stay open until 6pm with our after-school club. In addition, we have extra-curricular before and after-school clubs including football coaching, tennis coaching, Elfin Strings, dance, Bug Buddies, lego club, yoga and gymnastics.

We were one of the first primary schools to convert to Academy status, in June 2011. From January 2017 we became part of the Inspiring Futures Through Learning Multi Academy Trust (IFtL) along with Olney Middle School and many others.

The very best way to find out about our school is to visit us while we are at work. If you would like to do so or require any further information, please contact us. We are always proud to show people around our school.
