Ordinarily Available Provision

Ordinarily Available Provision (OAP) refers to the core, high-quality, inclusive teaching and support that schools and early years settings are expected to provide for all children, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), using their own resources. It acts as a foundation for, rather than a replacement for, more intensive SEND support.

These documents have been developed collaboratively by a range of stakeholders across Milton Keynes, including schools/settings, colleagues from the wider SEND Team and health partners and are considered Ordinarily Available Provision in schools.
